Friday 23rd August to Sunday 25th August 2019 – The Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival.
Another successful music train performed by Rik Enty and Jonny Nice ran along the South Fylde line on to Colne for the Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival.
Community Rail Lancashire came 'on board' with this occasion to be a proud associate partner of the event.
The train service originated from Blackpool South as the 17:13 to Preston - Colne Northern set. The main event started at Preston before the train became the 17:57 service to Colne booked for platform 2.
As part of the deal, this special train brought music lovers from Blackpool and Preston, Lancashire picking up at stations as it traveled through East Lancashire on the afternoon of Friday, August 25.
Rik and Jonny the blues artists performed live on board headed for the festival with artists including King King, Joanne Shaw Taylor and Grammy-nominated Janiva Magness.
This festival run by Colne Town Council is from Friday, August 25 to Sunday, August 27 and held at three main venues with nine official roadhouse venues in the town.
Extra trains and local buses will be put into action to cater for the masses.
