At Preston, the steam locomotive from West Coast Railways attached at the rear of the train and was hauled by a Class 86 electric to Blackpool North. The newly electrified line serves local trains and also allows through trains to and from London.
It arrived at Blackpool North Steam Engine facing out at 1118 on platform 1. Passengers alighted here.
Aaron Roscoe a local expert on the area's railways movements, confirmed the classic electric locomotive from WCRC 86259 in attendance.
Aaron says: " 1Z86 86259 (Les Ross/Peter Pan, two names on different sides) & 0Z87 86259 sits in Blackpool for couple hours."

0Z87 Blackpool to Preston will be 86259 on its own working LE to collect 1Z87 from Carnforth later in the day."
